Ice Cream Man By Evan Bollinger

http://www.amazon.com/Ice-Cream-Man-Evan-Bollinger-ebook/dp/B017FSC28W/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1458459037&sr=1-1&keywords=Ice+Cream+Man++By+Evan+Bollinger

“Bollinger constructs a plot similar to a jigsaw puzzle with thousands of pieces that eventually all come together towards the end in a way I never imagined.” https://walkerputsche.wordpress.com/

The story follows main protagonist, Lacy Stamford, a single mum who is trying hard to keep her life and the life of her children on track after the death of her husband several years ago.  All of a sudden Lacy's life is thrown into turmoil when she returns from a simple shopping errand to discover her house is on fire and that this is just the start of the horror she and her children will face in the coming days of the unexplainable house fires, hotter than hot temperatures, spontaneous combustion and people going missing.

Ice Cream Man is a taunt thriller that is infused with horror and sci-fi elements and I would recommend it to readers who enjoy dark themed and thought-provoking fiction.

PALE HIGHWAY: By Nicholas Conley

“Pale Highway is an ambitious, heartbreaking and out of this world Sci-Fi story of one man’s struggle to save humanity, while working against the clock to save his own mental degradation!” Catherine Rose Putsche Book Blog

Gabriel Schist, a rugged genius, who in his younger years developed the vaccine for AIDS is now spending his remaining years in a nursing home with few memories that Alzheimer’s have stole from him.  However, when one of the residents comes down with a gruesome virus that nobody seems to want to find a cure for, only cover it up, Gabriel, tries to convince the heads of the nursing home that he is the only man who can find a vaccine/antidote to destroy the virus, unaware and unprepared that the virus may not be what it seems to be and that the threat to destroy humanity may soon become a reality if Gabriel cannot find a solution in time before his own mental and physical deterioration take place.

It is not often that my own words escape me as I try to recount the beauty, the true understanding of such a devoted man who struggles to hold off his own real-life manifestations to save everyone around him.  Conley, has created a memorable, life-like and loveable protagonist who will stay with me for a long time and I have no doubt that this story will have an impact and raise awareness to each and every reader out there who has lost, or is losing someone in their lives’ to this despicable disease, as I and so many others have.

5 Star Review: Enpidra: The Exodus By Drew Washington

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=Enpidra%3A+The+Exodus+Drew+Washington

This is a supremely compelling tale of a young female scientist called Shania, who is keen to find a cure for an unknown deadly disease that is claiming the lives of all her loved ones and threatening to end all human life on the damaged planet of Enpidra.   As the disease continues to mutate, due to unknown factors, causing new symptoms that become almost impossible to contain, Shania and her colleagues’ work frantically against the clock to try to find a weakness they can exploit in the virus before it spreads and leaves its everlasting path of destruction on an already ravished planet that is facing the oncoming threat of extinction. Will Shania’s mission succeed? And if so, at what cost? Or will she pay the greatest price for her own demise in a race against not only against time but also against unknown creatures on her pursuit, the greed of a government and several companies whose main focus it to profit from her research.

Drew Washington has created a powerful and well written page turner with an engrossing female protagonist whose plight is believable.   Enpidra: The Exodus is set in an imaginary unforgiving planetary system and will take the reader on an unforgettable journey where they can transport in to a completely different world and lose themselves completely.  I would highly recommend this engaging escape from reality story to fans of science fiction and speculative fiction.
